Reminders:

Math:
We will be reviewing 4th grade standards and
begin looking at lessons to get ready for 5th grade
math. We will also have speakers visit our class to
discuss Math in the Workplace.

Poetry Caf is a fun time for students to show off

their love of poetry. Dates are noted above and take
place in the library from 10:35-11:15. Students are
asked to wear all black on this day.

Science:
Students will closely observe each animal (Fiddler
Crab, African Dwarf Frog, Millipede) closely. We
will identify animal characteristics and behaviors.

MEDICATIONS AT SCHOOL

AL History:
Please remember that floats are due Monday,
May 9th. We hope to tour through numerous
classrooms to present our floats as if in a parade.
Students will continue to learn how Alabama
became Our Beautiful Home in Chapter 9. We will
focus on the transportation changes and industrial
growth.

If your child has a medication/medical supplies at

school.please see Nurse Kristina Woody by 2pm on
May 20th to sign out your childs
medication/supplies. Medication that is not picked up
prior to May 20th will be DONATED to a MEDICAL
MISSION TRIP!

those who have already completed!

No Spelling Test this week due to the Montgomery Field Trip & May Day
preparations. We will have a homework assignment with the spelling words for
practice with the phonics skill that will be due on Wed. 5/11.

Readers Theatre

Please come and watch our groups perform on Monday, May 16th at 12:00.This will take place right before our
party. They have worked hard and would love for you to come watch, then hang out for the party!

End of Year Party

We will have our end of the year party on Monday, May 16th at 12:30. This is the date of our final behavior
celebration so we decided to merge them together. We will be having pizza and ice cream to celebrate our
year!
