Logbook

This week in drama, we focused heavily on the second part of

our play, in which Louis (the Fire Chief) plays the most
important role. We have practised this part a few times and it
has definitely improved over time.
1. This week we only had 2 lessons again, and in one of them
we had a sub teacher, in which we didnt work as well as
we could have. We did however discuss the blocking that
we would have set up. We didnt really do many activities
this week either, apart from running our lines in the group.
2. This week in drama I think that I have worked both well
and also badly. I think the things that I did well was to
memorise majority of the opening scene in our play and to
speak and act in character almost all the time. I believe
that I was also willing to learn, act, perform and improve
our performances play.
3. This week in drama I again, think that I have worked both
well and also badly. The things that I have done badly, are
forgetting where we are in the script as there are bug
chunks when I do not speak and just zone out. I act in
character most of the time, however I think that my
character could be further developed and experimented
with.

4. I think some suggestions to myself to improve my work

would be to always put 110% into my acting, and try to
develop my understanding of how the character should be
played. The play is set in England so I think the character
should have an accent.
5. Me included, I think that all of us really have to put as
much effort into performing how our characters are like,
and try and get used to how the sound and act. I also
think this goes for all of us, that we shouldnt forget our
scripts, and in doing so, we should try and memorise as
much as we can now.
6. We have been thinking about space a lot over the past 2
weeks, as we are trying to understand the best way to sit
and stand in the play. We have decided to put Mr and Mrs
Smith sitting together, and Mr and Mrs Martin together
with Mr Smith opposite from Mrs Martin, and Mrs Smith
opposite from Mr Martin. We also have the Fire Chief,
sitting at the head of the table, directly in the middle. This
shows the 2 couples, and also shows the authority of the
Fire Chief.
