Year 6 Bikeability
Overnight in the Hall this week and next lie Year
6s bicycles, as during the school day they
continue their Bikeability courses. With busier
roads all around us, what a valuable opportunity
this is proving to ensure safe and happy cycling.

Whole School and Class Photographs

Hopefully in glorious sunshine, photographs take
place on Monday (9th May). Everyone needs to
look good, with smart uniform (summer dresses
for the girls years R-Yr 4, short sleeved shirts for
Yr 5-6 girls and all the boys. Girls long hair should
be tied back in blue or yellow bands or ribbons).
Parents Council
This terms Parents Council takes place at 4.00pm
on Thursday 19th May. As ever, I am grateful to
Council members for their time and for all their
advice and support of the School.
For the forthcoming meeting, do send in any
points you would like to raise, either by e-mailing
the year group representative or by using the slips
which will be placed in bookbags next Monday
(9th). As a reminder, Parents Council parent
members are:

Year 3 and 4 Visit to Living Land Event
On Thursday, Years 3 and 4 headed east, to the
Kent County Showground at Detling where they
had a wonderful day at the Kent Show Ground.
They watched a sheep sheering show, through
which they were entertained by dancing sheep,
they saw and touched (if they wanted to) a wide
range of farm animals including sheep, cows, pigs,
chickens, rabbits and Guinea Pigs, they watched a
bird of prey display and many were lucky enough
to taste some locally grown apples, apple juice,
butternut squash, courgette as well as bread,
crackers and butter.

Mrs Gordon was pleased to award a Silver Star to

Elisha in Year 6 today in assembly for her consistent
hard work, excellent behaviour and pro-active
approach to her play leadership duties.
