To many, a pop tab is just a piece of aluminum with

one purpose - to open a can. But here at Roosevelt, we know its much more than that. Each year,
we collect tabs to donate to the Ronald McDonald
House. The tabs are recycled and generates fund
to help support families. We will do our final collection at the Community Gathering on Friday, June 3rd. Last year we collected 68 gallons
of tabs and filled 2 kiddie pools. Our goal this year
is to overfill the 2 kiddie pools and get more than 68
gallons. There is still time to collect your tabs and
bring them in!
We know with your help, we can fill those kiddie
pools!

Green Commute School Challenge

Wednesday, May 18, 2016
The Green Commute is a community event to promote alternative transportation including: biking, walking, sharing a ride, carpooling or riding the bus. We
are going to compete against other schools to see who is the most Green!
Since Roosevelt is participating, every student will receive a gift. Every student
who uses alternative transportation on May 18th will count as 1 point, and the
school that has the highest percentage of students that participate, will receive an award showing participation and dedication to helping keep our
community Green. Come on Roosevelt, lets win this challenge!!
