I am a recent graduate from NorQuest College. I have completed a large component of my clinical nursing placements at Capital Care Lynnwood for long term, Misericordia Hospital (Medicine and Surgery Unit) for acute care, Edmonton General Continuing Care Centre for long term care (Preceptorship), Home Living North Palliative Home Care (Preceptorship). I have gained extensive experience in head to toe assessment, taking vital signs, updating the patients health record with relevant information, noting allergies and documenting current medications. In addition, I performed daily tasks such as providing direct personal care to clients and safe medication administration. I was able to work in shift works (days, evening, nights). As a student, I was able to work in many areas of the program and enjoyed working with the interdisciplinary teams and families. I have performed and participated in the development, implementation, evaluation and revision of the clients plan of care. I am very passionate about my profession as a Practical Nurse.
