    people.Consequently,thenumberofpeople,especiallychildren,whodiebecauseofalackof
    medicalcareisrevoltingandmanypeopledieofpreventablediseases.
    Whenhealthcareisunavailabletothemostvulnerablepopulations,itonlyhumanityasa
    wholebecausecertainpopulationsareseenaslessimportantorlesshumanandtherefore,are
    allowedtodieathigherrates.Countlessliveshavebeenlostbecausegovernmentsdonot
    considerhealthcareahumanright.Mygoalistomakehealthcareaccessibletoallandmakeit
    possiblesothatnopersonwoulddieofsomethingaspreventableasmalariaortuberculosis.
    Peoplebelievethattheywereborntofulfillacertainmission.IbelieveIwasborntohelp
    thoseinneed.Whetherascrapedkneeorafever,IwasalwaysbyBilissideandnowIhope
    thatsomeonehastakenmyplace.OrganizationssuchasDoctorswithoutBorders,forwhichI
    plantovolunteer,havetakenthefirststepstoendthelackofhealthcareaccessbyworking
    withvulnerablepopulations,regardlessoftheirnationality,politicalaffiliationsorabilitytopay.
    Duetolowfundingandthehighdemandforservices,itisdifficultforthemtofulfilltheever
    growingneedsoftheworld.Eventhoughbecomingadoctorwouldbeafirststeptohelpmake
    healthcaremoreaccessiblearoundtheworld,myultimategoalistoraiseawarenessabout
    disparitiesinhealthcarecoveragenotonlythroughconversations,butthroughperennial
    activismandworkinthefield.
    Mygoalistoliveinaworldwherepeople,likeBili,wouldhaveaccesstothesame
    medicalattentionasIdointheUnitedStates.Eliminatingdisparitiesinaccesstohealthcare
    woulddomorethansavemillionsoflives,itwouldhelptounifyusasapeopleandwouldbea
    greatplacetostarttocreateequalityandcompassioninourworld.
