PLURAL : refers to
MORE than one
thing/place/animal/perso

CONCRETE /
ABSTRACT
CONCRETE: refers to
nouns that we
touch, hear, see,
taste and smell.
(e.g. ice-cream we
can see, touch,
smell and taste it)
ABSTRACT: refers to
ideas, concept
,feelings & emotions
or a state of being.
It cannot be
experienced with
any of five senses.
COUNTABLE: refers to
nouns that can be
counted and have
singular & plural forms.
(e.g. cat-cats).
UNCOUNTABLE: : refers
to nouns that cannot
be counted.
It does not have plural
forms. (e.g. flour,
water, hair, sugar)

COLLECTIVE:
Refers to a general
collection of things,
animals and people.
(e.g. a comb of
bananas, a herd of
cattle and a class of
pupils)
