It is my pleasure to recommend Dominque Garcia for any teaching position. Mrs. Garcia was
my UTEP intern from January 2016 to April 2016.
While under my supervision, Mrs. Garcia displayed many qualities that I know will make her
an exemplary teacher. To begin, Mrs. Garcia truly understands that classroom discipline falls on the
teacher. Mrs. Garcia knows that if a lesson is well-planned, the discipline will not be an issue.
In addition, she fully understands that all students learn differently; as a result, she knows
how to differentiate to meet the needs of the students. She worked very closely with all students;
however, she really got to understand the needs of our SPED and LEP students. In just 10 weeks, our
students were one of the highest performing groups in creative writing in our district on the spring
benchmark.
Most importantly, Mrs. Garcia understands that data drives the instruction and remediation.
She learn how to access reports from Eduphoria and/or Tyler. Not only did Mrs. Garcia help with our
exceptional benchmark scores, but she helped organize dances, bake sales, and 8th grade festivities. .
