New Delhi: A three-and-ahalf-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a 10-year-old
boy in outer Delhis Mangolpuri on Friday. Around 1pm, the girl went out to play with the boy. When she returned, she started crying and complained to her mother about severe pain in her private parts. She was immediately taken to Sanjay Gandhi Memorial hospital for treatment. New Delhi: A massive drive
was launched by the police against drinking outside hotels in Lutyens Delhi and south district over the weekend to curb brawls and road rage incidents. A crackdown was also initiated against drunk driving. Cops said that 1,004 people were booked for drunk driving and 432 vehicles were impounded during the drive. Driving licences of all the violators were suspended for three months. Senior police officers said that 200 teams have been formed to conduct surprise patrols around popular restaurants after 8pm. Checks were conducted near Khan Market, Connaught Place, South Extension and Hauz Khas. The drive will continue over the next few months, said Sandeep Goel, special commissioner, traffic. The crackdown started after police found that almost 50% of deaths on roads were caused by drunk drivers. More than 100 people lost their lives in accidents every month in 2015. DCP (south) Ishwar Singh said that 150 people were booked under Section 40 of Indian Excise Act for drinking in public places in the past three days. Orders have been issued to bars and pubs in south and Lutyens Delhi.

Her mother said that the boy had called the girl to his house on the pretext of giving her sweets. The girls mother suspects that the boy entered something inappropriate into her private parts. A medical examination of the girl was carried out after which a case was registered, said a senior police officer. The boy was apprehended from his house and produced at a court from where he was sent to a juvenile home.
