Achieved results

Secondary School of Economics "Dr. Ivan Bogorov" has successfully completed PROJECT
2014-1-BG01-KA102-000829 "Veni! Vidi! Vici! - A Chance and a Challenge for Life",
Programme: Erasmus +", KA1 -"Educational mobility of citizens", Sector "Vocational
education and training".
The main objective of the project is upgrading the quality of professional education and
training through creating a bridge between the two professional secondary schools - from
Bulgaria and Italy, and entrepreneurs who would accept visits from both countries and
sharing their knowledge and experience.
Specific objectives:
upgrading and improvement of students professional preparation
improving professional language vocabulary
motivating and developing the desire of students to learn English or another foreign
language
increasing the students aptitude to the labour market
enriching the cultural knowledge of students about a European country
adding to the students understanding of social, European and cultural diversity.
adding to the formation of students European citizenship self-consciousness
Activities related to implementation of the project:
1. Selection of students and their inclusion in the target group
- I stage based on papers
- II stage - through an interview in English
2. Realisation of preliminary training (language, specific, cultural and pedagogical)
3. Accomplished mobilities of 26 students and 4 teachers in total:
- In the period 13.04.2015 - 26.04.2015 - 11 students and accompanying teachers

The host organisation was Istituto di Istruzione Secondaria


Superiore Carlo Urbani, Porto Sant'Elpidio, Italy a seaside
resort town and municipality in central Italy, Fermo Province,
Marche Region, situated on the Adriatic Sea coast.

The following activities took place during the mobilities:


Joint lessons between Bulgarian and Italian students in
order to prepare presentations promoting tourism in Varna and Marche regions;
Joint training sessions on: Economic geography, IT laboratory, Statistics and IT,
Business Economics, European economic policy, Geotourism - Marche Region;
Participation in conferences on economy, innovative technology and tourism, a
conference of the Association of local investors, producers and entrepreneurs - GAL
Fermano;
Developing a mutual site for promoting the most attractive tourist destinations in Varna
and in the region of Marche;
Visit to the Economic Chamber of Commerce in the district town of Fermo, conversation
with the President Graziano Di Battista, who familiarised the students with the activities
of the Chamber and business opportunities in the region;
Visits and introduction of the business of companies dealing with various activities.
Sharing their experience, business practices and traditions;
Classes in computer labs in order to present and introduce a business project in the scope
of rural tourism - Ethnographic Complex "Oreshak"
Participation in a simulation for the establishment of a joint company between the
Bulgarian and Italian students, performed before a notary from Fermo area;
Visits to theatres, archaeological museums, historical sites and natural park, enabling
students touch the past and cultural heritage of the Marche region, Italy;
Sharing good practices between students and teachers in the education sphere.
The students and their teachers were impressed by the enthusiasm and hospitality of the
Italian teachers, students and companies.

all times showed great interest and reflected all the events and activities in Italy.

Management, Entrepreneurship, Tourism
Language skills confidence in communicating in English; Julia from 11 E class, Alexandra
from 10 A class and Ms. Ivelina Chucharkova improved their Italian
Social skill - teamwork, making reasonable decisions in dynamically changing situations
Intercultural - knowledge of the history and lifestyle of the host country, sharing knowledge
of Bulgarian historical and cultural heritage

By performance of folk songs and dances, we popularised Bulgarian folklore and made the
celebrations more emotional and colourful.
Long-term benefits from the project:
- Formation of students' awareness of European citizenship;
- Improving training, development and transfer of innovative practices from one country to
another;
- Increasing the students aptitude to the labour market;
- Enhancing the attractiveness of vocational education in Bulgaria and Europe;
- Improving the understanding of social, European and cultural diversity;
- Attracting more young people to participate in programmes and projects which open up new
opportunities and horizons for the young people of Bulgaria;
- Improving the image of our school as a highly professional educational institution.
We have proved that both Bulgaria and Italy have educational systems which provide
excellent preparation at European level and ability for a complete realisation.
The project 2014-1-BG01-KA102-000829 "Veni! Vidi! Vici! - A Chance and a Challenge
for Life" is a brand for high-quality successful mutual work and collaboration. The Vocational
schools from both European countries remain open for future contacts and joint projects.
