**WE ARE A BUCKWHEAT & LATEX AWARE SCHOOL**

PRINCIPALS MESSAGE
Welcome Back
What a wonderful startup we have had. Through my eyes (and ears) it seemed calm and long awaited by both
students and staff. We are quickly establishing relationships and routines in classrooms and settling down to
learning. It is good to be back!

Open House
st
We are busy planning our Open House. Please mark October 1 on your calendar. Attached you will find the
Meet the Teacher / Pancake Breakfast invitation/RSVP. It is so important that school and home work together to
ensure each and every child is successful. If you need to connect with your childs teacher or the Principal before
the Open House, do not hesitate to stop by or give us a call. Please return your RSVP by Thursday, Sept 24.
Attendance
It goes without saying, that even the best teacher in the world can have little impact if the student is not present.
Please make sure your child is at school on time and attends, unless they are sick. This is a habit of success we
are cultivating this year. At our first assembly, I announced to students that it is so important that I will host a
no tardy party every term.
Volunteers
If you, or someone you know, would like to support the school, there are many opportunities through the Parent
Advisory Council (PAC), the Breakfast Club, the Read to Me program, and Explorations. Not only is this help
much needed, your volunteering at school lets your child know just how important school is to you.
