WHAT IS A CHART?

• CHART is used to display basic concept


through your worksheet data.
• CHART is a graphical representation of
data.
• This can be a more visually appealing way
of displaying complicated numbers.
5 STEPS IN USING THE CHART
WIZARD
1. Select the range of cells that include the
data you want to chart, including the
column and row heading.
2. Select Insert then Chart, or click the
Chart Wizard button.

3. The Chart Wizard dialog box will show.


Choose your desired chart type.
4. Specify the data
you want to chart.
5. Configure the
chart options.
Give the Chart
Title, Category X
and Y axis title.
CHART OPTIONS
• Titles – enter the title and the title for each
axis.
• Axes – choose which axes are displayed, but in
most cases we must display all the axes.
• Gridlines – chooses whether to display the
gridlines, minor gridlines or both.
• Legend – choose whether to display the legend
and where to place it.
• Data Labels – choose whether to display data
labels and, if so, what data to display for them.
