Slam the ' Tyson '

Ever had a punch on your face ? A good punch leaves your ear in a ring ! Do you know that the punch power of Mike Tyson is 1800 psi. Can you
imagine 1800 psi on your jaw ?

General rules:

* Each team has to prepare a puncher using any mechanism. Hard and Heavy components can yield better results.
* Each team can have up-to 4 participants.
* Each member must produce a valid ID card of his/her respective institution. However students from different institutions can form a team.
* Results announced by the organizers are final.

Event format:

* The puncher is required to punch a basket ball that will be place on a table.
* The puncher should be activated without supplying any force from the participant.
* Ball will be placed on a table.
* Puncher and ball will be placed at same height.
* The displacement of the ball will be measured from point of launch to the point of collision of the ball with the ground and appropriate points will
be awarded
* Three chances will be given to the participants and maximum points scored in the three chances will be taken into account.
* Team with maximum points will be the winner !

Puncher specification:

* The dimensions of the puncher at any time in the event should be such that it will fit into a box of dimension 70cm * 60cm * 60cm.
* If electrical components are used the potential difference between any points in the puncher should not exceed 12V.
* The puncher should not push the ball.
