 Why Study the Doctrines of God?

Ps 50: God Summons all v.1, 4 to Testify v.7: “I am God, even thy God”,
why?
Because of the difference between the

1. Thoughts of God concerning Man

2. Thoughts of Man concerning God

 Thoughts of God concerning Man

1. To be His Saints (v.5)

2. To be Together (v.5)
3. To be Gathered unto Him (v.5)
4. To be in Covenant Relationship (v.5)
5. To be Aware of His Sacrifice (v.5)
6. To be Offering Praises (v.23)
7. To be Ordering their Lives Aright (v.23)
8. To be Heirs of the Salvation of God (v.23)

 Thoughts of Man concerning God:

1. In his Worship (v.8-9) –willful
2. In his Ways (v.16-20) –wicked
 Hating Instructions(v.17)– Ex 20:12
 Consenting Thieves(v.18a)– Ex 20:15
 Partaking with Adulterers(v.18b)- Ex 20:14
 Deceitful & Slandering tongues(v.19-20)- Ex 20:16

3. In his Wits (v.21) –wishful

 Thinking God is like them.
 No Restrain on sin.
 Note:

We know ourselves better: When we know our

God better.
We live, when we order our conversation in the ways of God.
So God said, I will reprove, tear you; none can deliver you
(v.21b-22).

 What are your thoughts concerning God?

 Have you forgotten God?
 Have you forsaken God?

That’s why this study is very important.

 Most Important & Basic Study, because:

1. Intellectually – it illumines our heart, (Pro 1:7; 9:10).

2. Practically - it transforms our lives, (Dan 11:32).

 Main Purpose of God in Creation of Man is:

- To Know Him & To Glorify Him.

But Man Choose Ignorance than Knowledge.

Reasons:
1. Ignorance: very few know about real God.
2. Arrogance: no need of God.
3. Denial: cannot know one.
4. Exchanged: images, symbols & events.
5. Turning Away: to superficial, falsehoods.
  The Real Need is Because of

1. Lack of Desiring God

2. Lot of De-sizing God
3. Language of Demeaning God
4. Lives of Despising God
5. Liking of Reading Selectively

Let us Not make God into our image but know; God who made us in His Image
