Urbanization is the development of human settlements from simple huts and caves to modern structures like bungalows. As humans are social animals, settlements grew into cities over time. However, urbanization has led to problems like global warming and loss of biodiversity as forests were cut down for resources and habitat. In recent years, urbanization has grown rapidly as populations increase and people migrate to cities for better education, jobs, infrastructure and living standards. While beneficial to humans, urbanization also has environmental consequences that must be addressed through sustainable planning of green cities, conservation efforts, and individual responsibility.

The history of settlement conveys how far the humans have
advanced. In the ancient times the humans for ‘shed’, used caves then they evolved up gradually and made thatch huts & now we are living in Bungalows. Humans are social animals, thus resulting in a series of structures called cities. ”Urbanization”, thus is a development of human settlement.
The earth is the only planet to sustain life, to which human
beings are the masters. We in search of comfort had exploited resources, form the very beginning, so humans started cutting off forests for the cultivation & shelter and now it had become a serious problem for the mankind since it results to the major threats like Global warming, Ozone layer depletion, Acid rain etc. This has also led to the loss of Bio diversity, many species are extinct & many at the verge of extinction, due to lack of their original habitat.
Urbanization has shown record growth in recent years, due to
increasing population, people find it suitable to migrate to towns and cities from their villages in order to get comfortable life and increasing facilities there like education, employment, power supply, high status of living etc.
It has been good to humans but it has serious consequences too,
so in order to compensate with the environment and other species, the humans need to develop in an eco friendly manner and overcome these problems. No doubt humans are taking their best efforts and trying out the possible moves like efficiently planning of towns and cities which includes maximum greenery and utilization of maximum land area, management of resources, conservation of water with implementation of technique of rain water harvesting and ground water recharge, new techniques of agriculture using developed seeds thus enhancing production and retaining the fertility & minerals of soil, conservation of forests and protecting the wild life by providing them their natural habitat etc. thus, it is a serious issue of each and every person of the world therefore every individual must help implementing the moves to overcome this problem and help the mankind in developing with a balanced ecological sustainance and nature.
