SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:

Specifically, the students are expected to:

1. To be familiar with some of the more common gastrointestinal complaints in pediatric


patients

2. To develop the knowledge and skills needed to recognize, evaluate and manage the
following common pediatric gastrointestinal problems:
3. To learn the signs and symptoms to look for in a patient with gastrointestinal complaints
4. To understand the indications, limitations and potential complications of the standard
pediatric gastrointestinal diagnostic and therapeutic procedures 
5. To be able to appreciate and perform procedures commonly used by the pediatrician in
practice

BEHAVIORAL OBJECTIVES:

1. The students shall manifest excitement with the games created by the microteachers in relation
with the current topic, showing motivation and participation regardless of the prepared
incentives.
2. The students will be able to show their by involving themselves through active participation in
lessons and recitation.
3. The students shall manifest enthusiasm with the games prepared by the microteachers related
to the topic that will be discussed.
4. The students will be able to interact with the microteachers by displaying attention, focus,
attentive listening and understanding.
5. The students will be able to determine the objectives underlying gastrointestinal diseases in
children.
6. The students will be able to present an understanding of the assessment and concepts
gastrointestinal diseases in children.
