KNOWLEDGE PAPERS
Paper 1
Build the tallest and cheapest building.

Stage 1 (planning):
A) Company’s name: Macrosoft
B) Building’s name: Macro-tower
C) Organization Chart:

D) List of materials
25 wood sticks
1 plate
3 play dough
Thread
E) Design

F) Budget

25 Wood sticks = $ 7500

3 play dough= $ 300
1 Sty foam plate = $400
Total cost= $8200

G) Decision notes:
We had to think, think, and think the best way to make the tallest building,
but not expending too much money, we considered all the possible
materials and structures, until we all decided and agreed to use wood sticks
and play dough in a kind of pyramid shape due it has more stability.
Also, we decided to use not only play dough, but also thread, because of its
price and its characteristics. We have to decide if we were going to do it that
way, because it was going to be slower than just play dough, but it was
going to be stronger too.

H) Reflection paper:

We learned to work in teams, because it was impossible for just one of us,
to build such a tall structure, and it was the team-work which made us win.
Also we learned to use the materials in a good way, planning and comparing
them, thinking in the budget.

Stage 2 (building)

With only a class to do it, we

tried our best to make it, It
was hard and at the same
time fun, and the end of the
class our building was
complete and we achieved
the first place in the
competition with a height of
2.21 m
