Performing a blood glucose test using ACCU- CHECK® GO

1. Clean the fingertip with alcohol pad and wait until dry.

2. Insert the test strip and wait for the flashing blood drop symbol.

3. Prick the side of a fingertip

4. Gently massage the finger towards the fingertip to encourage a drop of blood to form.

5. You have approximately 90 seconds to draw blood into the strip after blood
drop symbol starts flashing

6. Hold the meter with the test strip pointing downwards

7. Touch the drop of blood, as soon as it has formed,


against the tip of the test strip where the black notch is
located. The test strip draws up blood.

8. Move the finger away from the test strip as soon as the hourglass
symbol is displayed and the meter beeps

9. The test is complete after approx. 5 seconds. The result is displayed and the
meter beeps

10. Hold the meter directly above a waste bin with the test
strip pointing downwards.

11. Push the test strip ejector down

12. The test strip drops out.

13. After you have ejected the test strip, wait for the meter to turn off before inserting a fresh
test strip for a new test.
