Disorder in Sight Sense
HYPERMETHROPIA ( FARSIGHTEDNESS )
Is a defect of vision caused by an imperfection in the eye that is the image of the object falls
behind yellow spot because eye ball is too short or eye ball is too flat, as the effect eye is only able
to see clearly far objects, while near objects do not appear clearly.
Farsightedness is caused by the eye lens cannot become thick ( convex ) when seeing the
objects at near distance. This is causing difficulty focusing on near objects, and in extreme cases
causing a sufferer to be unable to focus on objects at any distance. As an object moves toward the
eye, the eye must increase its power to keep the image in focus on the retina. If the power of the
cornea and lens is insufficient, as in Hypermethropia, the image will appear blurred.
The causes of Hyperopia / Hypermethropia are typically genetic and involve an eye that is
too short or a cornea that is too flat, so that images focus at a point behind the retina. People with
Hyperopia can usually see distant objects well, but have trouble focusing on nearby objects.
This defect of eye can be helped by using Converge lens which have property to unite light.
Converge lens also called convex lens or positive lens. Convex lens can help the eye lens to focus
Farsightedness eyes have the Punctum Proximum greater than 25 cm ( PP>25cm ) and the
Punctum Remotum at unlimited. Eye glasses with convex lens used to overcome farsightedness must
Where
The Distance of lens focus and lens strength which used to repair eye that undergoes
Hypermethropia can be decided based on the flat lens and strength lens formula.
The basically principle of positive lens is used to move object backward at the normally read of
distance became image in the near point of eye, so eye can see near object clearly.
