Removal and Installation

Removal
All vehicles
1. Remove the radiator air deflector.

2. Remove the radiator grille.

3. Remove the headlamp washer on both sides (if

equipped).
1. Pull the headlamp washer forwards to access the
clip.
2. Using a suitable screwdriver release the clip.

4. Raise and support the vehicle. For additional

information, refer to Section 100-02 Jacking and Lifting.

5. Detach the fender splash shield from the bumper cover

on both sides.

6. Detach the bumper cover from the fender on both sides.

Vehicles built up to 10/2001

7. Disconnect the turn signal lamp electrical connector on
both sides.

All vehicles
8. Disconnect the fog lamp electrical connector on both
sides (if equipped).

9. Lower the vehicle.

10. CAUTION: Protect the bumper cover using a

soft cloth to prevent damage.
Release the bumper cover retaining clips.

11. Remove the bumper cover.

1. Lower the bumper cover.
2. Detach the bumper cover from the radiator splash
shield.

Installation
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
