RE: PROPOSED PAEDIATRIC CLINIC FOR A-Z CHILDRENS CHARITY IN
NANSANA (PHASE 1)
Inspection on local materials
We are in receipt of instruction number 10 (ten) dated 16th July 2010 given by the
site clerk which requires us to stop using and remove the fine sand (plaster sand
)because of its 14% silt content. We shall comply with your instruction and remove
the material.

However, by general construction standards in Kampala Uganda, the sample of

plaster sand submitted for your approval conforms to clause F7 of the specification
for civil and mechanical works page 26 of 84.

We hereby we request you to immediately issue us in writing with the minimum

requirements of results of all tests to be made on local materials as the specifications
are not absolutely clear on the exact criteria. This is to ensure that there is no similar
problem on materials supplied by us in future.

We look forward to receiving a response not later than 19th July 2010.
