• A concrete consistency range of F3 was chosen (Soft concrete). Please refer

to the following table for more details, Please note that the table will change
when TE is changed.

2. Plywood General data:
Hereunder is a table for some plywood type’s specifications, in order to calculate the
deflection and behavior. PERI calculations will be based on σ = 12 N/mm2 as an average
quality plywood.
- The plywood supplied by the contractor criteria should match the criteria chosen. The
plywood quality may affect the sec. girders spacing.

II) Structural Analysis :
1. Concrete Volume and Rate of Rise:
• In the following chart, using the concrete pressure 50KN/m2 and the consistency
range F3, we can have the rate of rise for concrete inside the formwork.
• When te=7h the rate of rise =1.90m/h,so when te=8h the rate of rise=1.83 m/h.

All these values are based on the above DIN 18218 table with the following
assumptions:
- Bulk Density of plain concrete: 25KN/m3

- Final set of the concrete 7hrs
- Temperature of green concrete +15°C
- Compaction with internal vibrators
- Tight Formwork

o Concrete pressure : 50 kN/m2
- Max Girder Spacing : 35 cm

- Approx. Deflection : 1.50 mm

c. Girder spacing = 35 cm
d. Max Tie Rods Influence = 1.25 m

4. Check on Steel waler U100 Girders:
a. Maximum Load on waler = 19.05/.350(Girder Spacing) KN/m2

= 54.40 KN/m2

Maximum Tie Rod Spacing Here is =1.411m

And the Load on Tie Rod is = 67.24 <90 kN so its safe.
