PORTABILITY OF QUALITY PYRAMID

1. QUALITY
Operationally, the word quality refers to products. A product is a quality product if it is defect
free.

Quality has 4 characteristics, doing the right thing, doing it the right way, doing it right the first
time and doing it on time without exceeding cost.

2. QUALITY PYRAMID
Portability of Quality Pyramid has two fold objectives

i) It Has Functional Convenience

It contains
 Quality assurance
i.e that contains quality audit, defining process, selection of tools and
training.
 Measurement
 Quality control
 Procedure
 Standards
 And management plans

ii) It Has Objective Convenience

Objectives are three, namely
Assure Quality, Control Quality and Define Quality.
These three Objectives are met with the performance of relative functions as
described below,
 First two functions Assure Quality
 Next function “Quality Control” controls the quality
 And remaining three function define the quality
