• It reported the highest ever sales in its history of
motorcycle sales in a month thats September.
• It showed 26pc leap in sales from the same
month last year.
• The highest sales are because of the robust
performance by its premium motorbikes Pulsar
and Discover 100.

• Japanese automobile major Honda's Indian subsidiary
on Wednesday launched a new variant of its popular
model, City, at a price between Rs 9.53 lakh and Rs
10.25 lakh

• The new car will have additional interior and exterior


features such as leather seats and steering, which are
not present in the regular one.

• Ford looks to drive in EcoBoost tech 

• US car maker Ford is planning to introduce EcoBoost


technology for its upcoming eight new vehicles for the Indian
market.
• Ford has also firmed up plans to introduce a pre-owned car
business known as ‘Ford Approved’ in India.

• Plans are also afoot to export Figo, the small car from the
Ford stable, to 50-odd countries, including South America and
Northern Africa.

• SX4 Hybrid employs an 50kW electric motor powered by


advance Lithium-ion batteries and an Automated Manual
Transmission which uses a twin clutch mechanism. 

• the SX4 Hybrid offers 25 per cent improved fuel economy


as well as lower emissions. The car can be driven solely
on the electric motor or on the gasoline engine.
