Buy an artificial Christmas tree or

a tree which can be replanted each

year.

Recycle your unwanted toys and games, take them to the Charity shop or
donate them to a jumble sale.

Only wrap a present if it needs it. Many presents come in gift boxes which
don’t need wrapping.
Instead of sending Christmas cards to every child in your form why not send one
big Christmas card?

Buy charity cards or give a donation to charity instead of sending Christmas

cards.
Give friends a gift voucher instead of a token present.

Make sure as much of your food and drink as possible is fair traded.

Check that wrapping paper and cards are made from recycled paper, and
choose re-usable decorations rather than flimsy ones.
Recycle all bottles, jars, newspapers, cans, plastic bottles, plastic bags, wrappers
and cardboard.

Put potato and orange peel and nut shells in the compostor.

Use a limited number of Christmas tree and window lights. Resist the
temptation to be extravagant and wasteful with lighting.
We are arranging for the collection of Christmas Cards
after Christmas to send to the Woodland Trust. Please
could you send your cards into the school main office at the
start of term.

We are also collecting used stamps for Charity and would

be grateful if you could remember to keep stamps from
your post and send these into school marked for the
attention of Lorraine Chatburn.
