Dear Parent/Carer

I am writing for your permission to allow your child to attend extra support sessions at school. Your child is now
in their last and most important year at school. To help your child to achieve their best, each subject runs
coursework catch-up and revision classes. These are in addition to the school offering a general coursework catch-
up session on a Wednesday afternoon. The sessions last between 1 and 2 hours.

These support sessions take place at different times throughout the year depending on when a subject’s
coursework and examinations take place. At certain times of the year your child may be offered the opportunity
to stay behind for extra support and this can only take place with your written permission.

A full list of the coursework catch-up and revision sessions can be found on the website and is regularly updated.
Pupils are also informed by their subject teacher or the Head of Department if they are being offered extra
lessons.

We hope by providing this extra support, your child will be given the best possible chance of achieving their full
potential. Please fill in the slip below and return to your child’s Form Tutor so that we can offer your child these
additional opportunities.
