Research question: Which between two carbon producers has a greater greenhouse effect on the
Earth?

Hypothesis:

 If I have a candle that is light and placed it into a bell shape jar (the earth) and place a CO₂

monitor, then the CO₂ monitor will measure the carbon production of the candle.

 Also, if I leave a banana pill out for a week and place it into a bell shape jar (the earth) and place

a CO₂ monitor, then the CO₂ monitor will measure the carbon production of the candle.

Materials:

 A candle

 A decompose banana

 A bell shape jar

 CO₂ sensor

 Data logger

 Matchbox/lighter

 Computer/ Laptop

Procedure: A.

1. Place half a single banana pill into a container and leave the banana pill out for a week.

2. After, place the decompose banana into the bell shape jar with a CO₂ sensor on top of the jar.

3. Then click collect on data logger

4. Leave the banana decomposes in the bell shape jar for 5 (five) minutes and collect the data.

5. Then light the candle and place into the bell shape jar.

6. Leave the candle inside the bell shape jar for 5 (five) minutes and collect the data.

7. Then write the data onto a chart and make a graph.
