Course Description: Throughout the course of year you will receive daily instruction in the areas of
Grammar, Usage, Mechanics, and Composition. You will also learn the most common 570 words in
academic texts. This will help you master academic material with more confidence and speed.

Required Materials: Grammar and Composition handbook, (Glencoe, McGraw-Hill) Plastic Portfolio Binder,
Loose-leaf and, Spiral notebook for vocabulary, Journal, Ink pens, Tape Recorder, and Thesaurus
