    PROGRAM DESCRIPTION PROGRAM OVERVIEW

    Language and Culture in Belo Horizonte is a SEMESTER


    four-week program designed to provide Summer B 2010
    Portuguese language instruction while
    immersing students in Brazilian society. The
    DATES
    main goal of the program is to enable
    beginning and intermediate students to July 5—July 30, 2010
    communicate with fluency and accuracy by
    strengthening oral and written skills. The COURSES & CREDITS
    program includes a number of activities and POR 3202 Accelerated Portuguese I (5cr)
    field trips that introduces students to POR 3233 Accelerated Portuguese II (5 cr)
    Brazilian culture. On weekends, students will POR 3420 Grammar & Writing I (3cr)
    visit historic towns such as Ouro Preto, a POR 4470 Foreign Study (1 to 3cr)
