Digital Photo Editing Contest

OFFICIAL RULES/GUIDELINES:

1. The contest is open to all Datalogics Society members.

2. It will be conducted at the General Laboratory (LB445) on February 1, 2011, 12:00-3:00 PM.
3. Interested contestants must get and fill up the registration form on or before Friday, January 28
to Patrick (09235996201) or at LB464.
4. The contest is divided into three categories, namely:
1. Coloring – A black and white picture will be provided to the contestants for them to color.
2. Retouch – A damaged photo will be provided and contestants will do their best to repair the
said photo.
3. Freestyle – Various pictures will be provided for them to express their creativity and skill in
photo manipulation.
5. The contest is “on-the-spot” photo editing which means all contestants are not allowed to bring
their own works. USBs and other computer paraphernalia are not allowed.
6. The applications to be used for the contest will be provided to them. It is up to the contestants
as to how they will use these to their advantage. Only those applications are allowed to be used.
7. The contest is good for 3 hours only. It is up to them as to how they will manage their time.
8. After the given time, all works must be saved in one folder in the Desktop with their contestant
number to eliminate any form of biases. Folders with extra files will result to the contestant’s
disqualification.
9. Failure to comply with any of the abovementioned rules will lead to disqualification.
10. Output will be evaluated by a set of judges carefully selected by the organizers of the said
activity.
11. The top three contestants with the best output will be awarded 1 st, 2nd and 3rd during the Closing
Program.
12. Cash prize await the winners.
13. Entry is FREE. Limited slots. First Come First Served Basis.

 Creativity and Presentation 30%
 Fidelity 20%
 Overall Impact 10%
