Once Upon a time there were two tourist who come to TanjungPinang during their summer vacation
when they were having lunch at near coffe shop, they heard people were talking about penyengat
island. Became curious, one of them asked a man who sat near to them.

Debby : “Excuse me Sir, I heard those people talked about an island just now, what is the name, Uhm…
Penyengat Island ?”

Deka : “Oh yes. Penyengat Island. That’s a small island located in the west of TanjungPinang.”

Ummi : “Can you tell us about the island ?”

Deka : “Well, Sure. The island is very famous among people here. It’s one of the historical place with
many historical objects in it.”

Debby : “What’s so special about the island ?”

Deka : “At there you can see a grand mosque of Penyengat which is built about two hundred years
ago and also you can see burial of many Well-known people.”

Ummi : "Debb, I think I wanna go there it’s interesting.. I think it would be a good place to go?"

Debby : "Yeaah, i aggre. but how can we go there ?"

Ummi : "hmmm. Sir , can you bring us there ?"

Deka : "Sure I can, I have a boat and I usually deliver people from here."

Debby : "Great !!! shall we go now ?"

Deka : "Sure, Lets's go!"

And so they went to the harbor and during the journey, the man told them about Penyengat Island. He
Describe about penyengat mosque, burial in penyengat such as burial complex of Engku Putri Raja
Hamida, burial of Yang Dipertuan Muda Riau IV, Burial of Raja Haji Fisabilillah Marhum, burial complex
of Raja Abdul Rahman, burial complex Yang Dipertuan Muda Raja Jafar and Yang Dipertuan Muda Riau
VII and other historical building.

They Went Directly to see the mosque of penyengat island. When they got there, they amazed by the
great architecture of the mosque.

Debby : “Waw, This place is so cool, even though it was small, it has so many historical places.”

Ummi : “Yes, I think so. I’m interested in this island.”

Then They going into the mosque.

In the mosque. . .

Ummi : “Hey mam, can you tell us about this mosque ?”

FrSiska : “Of course, This is a mosque built by Yang Di Pertuan Muda Raja Abdurrahman. . .”

Debby : “waw, then ?”

FrSiska : “The part that often amazed by visitors was the dome and the tower.”

Debby : “Oh, let’s look around.”

So , Three of them walk around the mosque to see the dome. After they finished, They went out and
went to another places.
