    A test was conducted on September 17th, 1998 in Orlando, Florida to compare the insulating properties of cement block walls with and without Insuladd. The outside and inside surface temperatures of the walls were monitored throughout the day as outside air temperatures rose into the 90s. The results showed that outside surface temperatures of walls without Insuladd were 5-18 degrees Fahrenheit higher, and inside surface temperatures were 2-8 degrees higher, than comparable walls that had Insuladd installed. This indicates that Insuladd is effective at reducing the transfer of heat through cement block walls.

    Summary: The use of Insuladd appears to be an effective way to decrease the heat transfer
    (heat flow) through the walls of a building. The energy cost reduction potential for this material is
    worthy of consideration for residential and commercial structures.
