BACKGROUND OF MIC

MIC Electronics Limited (ISO 9001: 2008 certified) deals in the design, development & manufacturing
of LED (light emitting diodes) Video Displays, high-end Electronic and Telecommunication equipment
and development of Telecom software since 1988. In 2008, MIC Electronics was selected for "Best
under a Billion" by Forbes Asia as one of 22 Indian companies among 200 Asia Pacific companies.

Market/Customers:

Currently M/s. MIC Electronics Ltd. is active in the markets of LED Video Displays [indoor, outdoor &
mobile] being used for Sports & Games, Transportation Hubs, Digital Theatres & theme parks,
Advertisements and Public Information Displays. MIC provides its products & services in
Telecommunication & Embedded software domains. Company’s clients include the following:-

Marketing Strategy

Broad marketing strategies proposed for promoting different product groups are as under:-

 Sale of lights to companies operating on ESCO, BOOT and PPP models for street lights.
 Dealer/distributor networks for consumer items for office and domestic applications
 OEM & co-branding for institutional sales
 Partnerships with TERI, IOC, govt. organizations and NGOs for rural lights
 Creating niche market in railways
 Focus on PSUs and process industries for industrial lighting

Further, Delhi Municipal Corporation has awarded the company, a five year contract to set up 50
LED screens. Indian Railways has plans to migrate to LED lighting systems and LED display boards at
various stations in the next four years. MIC has secured orders to install LED display boards at
several stations. Also, company would supply around 300,000 LED lamps to REI over next couple of
years. IOCL has identified MIC as a preferred supplier of LED lamps and it is estimated that MIC
would supply 150,000 lamps to IOCL in 2010-11.

Global Presence

MIC has diversified their presence across geographies. While their presence was earlier largely in the
Indian markets due to the proximity to our production facility, they now have an even-spread of
their LED Display systems sales across the globe.

They have a direct presence in the North American and Australian markets through their subsidiaries
in U.S.A and Australia. Their acquisition of InfoSTEP has given them a direct access to the US
markets. In South Africa and Korea, they have an arrangement with a local importer to source
business from these markets.
