 Time and Attendance
• Being absent:

– Knowing in advance you are going to be absent = give your program to the 
Ellen immediately, and later give her your lesson plans.

– Last minute decision = call the school @ 718‐937‐6005, dial extension 195 
when you hear the recording, leave your message making sure to include 
briefly the following information:
• Your name
• Type of absence, i.e. Self‐treated, Medical (with a doctor’s note) or Personal
• Your schedule, i.e. Early, Regular or Late Schedule

– When school phones are out of service = use e‐mails, call your AP or call me at 
516‐902 5125

– Personal days must be requested at least 3 days in advance. Get form from 
you AP.

– Remember to update your Emergency Lesson File after your second absence.
Staff Members Lateness
Please be aware that there is a 
five  minutes grace period in the 
morning. Any staff member 
coming after the grace period 
must clock in.

Inclement weather
–Listen to the weather forecast and 
give yourself extra time (15 to 30 
minutes)
–Use public transportation
–Allow yourself enough time to find 
where to park your car.

• Move students to the inner wall of the 
classroom
