CONSULTATIVE MEETING: CENTRAL OFFICE SPED PERSONNEL AND

REGION SPED FOCAL PERSONS

A. Identification of SPED teachers adept in sign language and/or teaching learners


with difficulty in hearing

Tasks: Key demonstrators in the converted locally developed ADM materials


into digital formats to be used online, offline (these materials will be with audio
and sign language…this is to maximize their potential in sign language) and
print materials

Prepare Lesson Plans for Learners with difficulty in hearing (with mild and
hard of hearing)

Focus: Grades 4 – 6

Subjects: English, Science, Mathematics, Filipino and Araling Panlipunan

B. Points to reflect: Interventions/programs to be given to LSENs to prepare them to


acquire necessary skills to be successful in their schooling

C. Alignment of LRs with curriculum guide especially to the non-negotiable learning


competencies

D. Inventory of existing locally quality assured instructional materials particularly in


ADM (get data from LR) and IMs for all disabilities/difficulties
**will be used by LSENs should the situation prevails until the end of the
school year (depending on the situation)

E. Inventory of DepEd Textbooks being used by LSENs in the mainstream


classes/regular classes and SPED teachers

F. Identify DepEd textbooks to be converted to Digital Accessibility Information


System (DAISY)
* to be used by LSENs

G. Division focal persons to identify the number of SPED Centers that have internet
connection, schools that have access to internet…for distance education and
possible options for LSENs who don’t have access to internet
**utilization of ICT or any system that we have…to be used in the education
for LSENs
H. CO will include in the Memorandum the templates to be used

I. Invitation for teachers (identified above) to participate in the online


orientation/meeting will be sent/uploaded once approved (tentative next week… they
must ready their laptop and make sure that they have access to internet)

J. 85 M Program Support fund will be added to the regular MOOE of regular schools
catering to LSENs (nationwide). The amount will be based on the number of LSENs
which will be generated from the LIS. For schools under SDO, the amount will be
given to their respective SDO while for autonomy schools, it will be given directly to
their schools.

K. It is important that LSENs are reflected in the LIS, elementary and Junior High
School.

L. SDO supervisors must make sure that these learners are tagged in the LIS.

M. Each region shall identify one SPED Center to be converted into Inclusive
Learning Resource Center (ILRC)

Use the following guidelines for the meantime

2. Available classrooms to be converted office services like: transition
room, resource rooms, therapy room, etc.

7M is allocated for this program…so, 350 – 400 thousand as initial fund will be
given to each identified school for the conversion of rooms to the different
services

N. Essential Learning Competencies (ELC) – identified already by the BCD….


forwarded already to LR supervisors…request a copy from them…
