Critique on Over Advertisment

What is over advertisment?

Advertisment is used for the awareness of the the


customer. So if the advertisment whether on TV or internet is poped up again and
again unessentially is reffered as over advertisment.

I am against the phenomena of advertisment. Behind is


the reason that the customer gets annoyed and my be having different assumptions
against the company or the product for instance

1. May be product is of low quality but company is advertising for more sale.
2. Company is making so much money.
3. There is a flaw in the product so people are not buying is and that is why
company is advertising.

It may be possible that over advertising of a product


increase the expectations of the customer to much higher level where the company
can not meet the expectations of the customer and as a result will have to bear losses.

Another fault of over advertisment is that when people


are watching and interesting TV show with family or alone and if advertisment of
same product is repeated again and again the people will get annoyed and it is the
possibility that customer gets the bad image of the product.

We have many examples that over advertisment of a


product or service is not liked by the people or rivals of the company. The product
Complan which claims the increase in the height of childern using is was sued in
India. Google it self was sued for over advertisment of low quality products. Dell
employees arrested for over marketing stunt.

While blanketing the market in ads may seem like a


good way to disseminate information to a lot of people, this approach usually ends up
adversely affecting the profitability of the company. Now a days it is impossible that
we can check out our e-mails or turn on tv withour being bombarded by splashing ads
and advertisments so people are finding was to block this over advertisment which is
a big hinderance in their enjoyment and work.

which he first gave the laws of marketing and then he tells the reason of not
over advertising a product.
