Introduction
In this present work we want to make you aware of the different types of misleading
advertising. We are going to address the following topics:

This work was proposed by teacher Edla in the English subject

Hope you like it!

Misleading advertising is a crime. Anyone who does so is subject to a sentence of three

to one year and a fine. Misleading advertising is any information or communication of
an advertising nature, wholly or partially false.

Misleading Advertising: Products

- The prices of the devices are not informed;

- The side information is difficult to read, as it is a billboard;

- Promotion expiration date does not exist;

- Illegible letters.

Different types of misleading advertising

 Deceptive advertising commissive.
 Omissive misleading advertising.
 Partially false misleading advertising.
 Completely false misleading advertising.
 Exaggerated advertising

2
What is commission advertising?
It promises something that the product cannot deliver. Example: A brand launches a
waterproof speaker and its characteristics do not fulfill its function.

What is omission advertising?

Omits information about the product. Example: when a person has a mobile phone
that barely works but is apparently in good condition on the outside and the person
wants to sell it but lies and says that the product is in excellent condition as new and
that it works perfectly.

What is partially false advertising?

Partially false advertising happens when some product characteristics do not match
reality. Example: when we buy a piece of clothing online and the whole product itself is
real and the only thing that doesn't match reality is the size.

What is entirely false advertising?

Completely false advertising is completely false to attract more consumers and extort
more money. Example: The store promises quality products, when in fact there is no
quality and has nothing to do with the desired product.

What is hype advertising?

Exaggerated advertising is when the consumer is deceived by excessive advertisements
and disclosures on the Internet. Example: when a person is led to buy something
because they are constantly seeing advertisements for a certain product and when that
product arrives at home it is not at all what the advertising promised.

3
Childs
Advertising for children is currently one of the most used means of earning money,
sometimes being very manipulative and false. For example, children, when they see
advertising during a game or television program, the ads do not go unnoticed. Ads
aimed at children can lead to early adulteration or even child sexual exploitation

Older people
- Benefit of technology for seniors is that it can help improve cognition and memory
skills. There are several online “brain games” that can help seniors stay mentally sharp.

- Elderly people are often preferred by cyber thieves because they are much more
vulnerable. several blows are applied because despite the use of all this available
technology, the elderly are still in the process of discovering the digital world.

- As everything happens so fast, not everyone can keep up. Frauds, for example. There
are always threats and more and more are being seen, especially in this older
population. The older ones found a lot of distraction on social media, but the family
has a duty to help and talk about the dangers they face.

What is a customer complaint?

Customer complaints are manifestations that indicate that something is not in
accordance with the service, service or product offered by your company.

Dangers in advertising
There are many dangers when talking about advertising, namely when the seller
charges more than the product is really worth, or when a person trusts and opens
advertising links, many times these links can have viruses or can serve to take people's
personal information that opened to trust.

Consumer complaints

All companies run the risk of receiving complaints for whatever reason, customers have
every right to complain when they are dissatisfied with something. There are several
examples of people who complained about companies for many reasons, an example
of this is:

- “Well, a few days ago I made a purchase on this site which I have been trying to
contact because supposedly my delivery would be carried out between 2/3 business
days which I have not received either an email or a response from the sellers they are
online but without responding to the customers I suspect it is a scam which I will report
to the competent authorities, seeing some videos and comments, confirms what I
thought with some veracity!”

With this work we can conclude that there are many dangers and there are many false
advertisements on the internet, we must be careful and also take care of the most
vulnerable population. we concluded that we acquired a lot of information about this
theme that is increasingly frequent in the life of society.
