Dear Parents,
On Monday the 28th of March 2011, the children from Year Three will be participating
in activities relating to our Inquiry unit on Minibeasts at the Botanical Gardens in
Wollongong. The children will also do additional activities in which they learn about
traditional Aboriginal bush tucker, medicines and their purposes for native plants.

The children will be travelling to and from the park by bus with seatbelts. We will be
leaving the school at 9.30am and will return to school in time to catch the afternoon
school buses at approximately 2.30pm.

The children are to wear their sports uniform and are to have their school hats and
any medication that they may need with them. The children will need to bring their
lunch, recess and drinks in a labelled, suitable bag that they can carry.

The cost for this excursion will be taken from the Excursion Fee, which was paid at the
beginning of the year.

If you would like to assist us on this excursion would you please advise your child’s
class teacher in writing by Thursday, 17th March.

Could you please complete the permission note below and return to your child’s class
teacher by Thursday, 17th March.
