yet to come
Dear Parents,

MESSAGE OF THE WEEK

Thank you very much for returning your questionnaires focusing on the curriculum and
understanding its content. We shall use these returns to discuss methods of helping you
support your children for the future. If you have not yet done this, we would still very
much appreciate your responses.
FOOTBALL
Our pitch is currently in a saturated state and is unplayable. Club will not be able to take
place in the short term until standing water has drained away. We will let you know when
this club will restart.
The DANONE Trophy Tournament at Tulketh High School for district finalists will
however take place this Thursday as planned. They must have a better pitch
than us!
BOREATTON PARK YEAR 6 TRIP
The next payment of 50 for Boreatton Park will be required by the 5th February. This
can be paid on ParentPay and we would encourage you to do this, however, it can also
be paid in cash or by cheque to L.C.C. and given directly to the main office or posted in a
named envelope in one of the secure boxes in school. Please remember to also send
your payment car into school with your payment, if paying by cash or cheque. Thank
you.
WELFARE STAFF POSITION AVAILABLE
A position has become available for anybody interested in taking up 7 hours each
week over the lunch time break. The hourly rate is 7.85 and is term time only. Please
contact the office by Friday 22nd January if you are interested in this role.
YEAR 3 HISTORY WORKSHOP
Thank you to all the parents that have contributed their 1.50 towards their children
historical workshop on Tuesday. The children are currently learning about prehistorical life
If you have not yet paid, please either send the money within a named envelope to the
main office or pay through our online ParentPay.
MRS GALLAND AID WORK
You may remember Mrs Karen Galland very well as she just very recently left our school
and is committing more of her spare time to aid work. She has asked me to make you
aware that she will be travelling to the Greek/Macedonian border to help distribute aid to
refugees. This aid which includes clothing, shoes and blankets was collected in the UK
and is now sitting in a warehouse in Greece waiting to be handed out. Winter has set in
and the temperatures have plummeted to a biting -11C at night.
She has asked if you would consider the following:
Donating to a giving page which can be found at
www.virginmoneygiving.com/team/wardrobe

Orif you have any spare Euros from a recent European holiday or trip, please bring
them in to the school office. These will be used to buy urgent supplies such as toiletries,
hats, gloves for children specifically. Thank you.
