Started as PC’s Limited on November 4, 1984
by Michael Dell.
Michael started selling Personal computer
system directly to customers by understanding
there needs.
Expansion- capital of $300,000 was given by
Michael’s family.
1985, company produced the first computer of
its own design named Turbo PC sold for
US$795.
Company changed it’s name to “Dell Computer
Corporation” in 1988.
1992, Dell gets into the list of 500 largest
company listed by Fortune magazine.
1996,Dell started selling computers via
website.
2002, Dell expanded its product line to include
televisions, digital audio players and printers.
From 2004 -2007Michael Dell stepped aside as
CEO, while long-time Dell employee Kevin
Rollins took the charge.
