Questionnaire Results

Question 1. As you can see there were more


female participants than there were male.
Overall there were 40 participants, 24 female
and 16 male.

Question 2. This graph shows the age


categories of the participators of the
questionnaire. The majority ranged from 15 –
23 where the above ages were minimal. This
information can then be supportive on my
product as my audience target is 17 – 23 year
olds.

Question 6. This question asked how you see


the trailer. This gave me a lot of reliable support
as this is my targeted audience saying they
mostly see them on the television. This then
gave me the incentive to use a TV spot for my
teaser trailer that will definitely reach my
audience.

Question 7. My target audience shows here a


clear likeness of films based on true events as
17 people have agreed. Psychological aspects
are the biggest feature to the audience of a
horror with 22 people agreeing. This again
supports my product being the false document
method and the type of horror that I will show
in the teaser. The type of horror I won’t
represent is the supernatural, monsters and also
the documentary style as this would not be what
my prime audience is interested in.

From the questionnaire I can say that I have support for the following:
 A TV Spot
 The False Document Method is a likable technique in film
 Although my targeted audience is predominantly male, my product
has potential also to be able to reach females too.
 What I will stay away from in the creation of my product is monsters
and ghosts etc (the type of supernatural horror).

The last question two questions in the questionnaire gave the chance to
view the opinions of some participators.

The opinions are slanting towards the overt gore horror. This includes
Saw and also ones that are on the psychological horror a like to The
Shining. What is apparent in my investigations is a likeness and a big
awareness of the film The Blair Witch Project. Following my own
product, the false document is on successful unconventional way in a
distribution campaign, but does prove to be successful.
