Research for Horror Distribution

When creating my own company name and logo I felt I needed to

look into an existing company to base my own ideas on. I wanted to
specifically research a horror production company as my product and
campaign is on horror.

I found Twisted Pictures, a company that produces mostly horror

films. It was the company behind the Saw franchise and others such
as Dead Silence and The Tortured. However the information on the
production company was very miniscule showing how Saw had made
a wide awareness to the company.

Here is the logo for Twisted Pictures:

 Colours used are a combination of white, black and red.

 There is an effect of a shadow on the company name
 The name itself is in a cracked font and slightly slashed, reflecting the
horror genre films they produce.
 There is an image used, centred between the two words of a spike coiled
with some sort of a spiked weed.
 The imagery is quite frightening, and suggests violence, horror and pain,
a reflection of the films they produce.
