 About India post
 India post is a brand name which functions under the department of posts of
the Indian government.
 It is more than 150 years and started in 1854.
 It is divided into 22 major post circles throughout the country.
 It is most widely used post office system in the world.

 PROBLEM DEFINITION:

 With the advent of technologies like phones and computers the short message
services and electronic mails have taken place of letters and post cards.
Everybody for everyone is just a call away or a message is enough to
communicate. People are forgetting the glorious Indian postal system in the
course, especially in the cities. Even if the postal service is slower as compared to
the e-mails and other way of messaging it still holds its charm. The department
of post is one of the oldest public services running in the country and still is a
very integral part of the rural India. There is a gap about the knowledge about
the Indian Postal Services in the urban centers of the country. An event may
not introduce the urban culture to the famous
postal services of our country but can at least remind them about it and can
encourage people to write letters to their friends and loved ones.

 OBJECTIVE:

 The event will try to spread awareness about India post amongst the urban cities
in the country.
 It will also try to encourage people to re-develop letter writing culture.

 PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION:

 The event will be a pan India event where metros and major cities in the country
will be targeted.
 It will be In-mall activation where most popular malls will be used for activations.
 Stalls will be put up at these centers where they will give information about the
Indian post where as they will be provided with postal services like stamps, inland
letters, post cards, etc. These cards will be collected then and there and will be
posted to the addresses mention there will be a section giving information about
the rich stamp heritage the India post possess.
 The money generated from this exercise can go for charity towards providing
schooling and education to impoverish.

 RELEVANCE and INNOVATIVENESS of PARTNERSHIP:

 Even though there is a considerable demand for the Indian Postal Services in rural
India this event can help the department of postal services have more exposure
in the urban areas and it can encourage the masses to use the Postal services
instead of courier services provided by private entities.

 EXPECTED RESULTS

 People in the urban areas can take up to writing letters and the event help the
india post gain more good will and generate trust for the postal services.
