solution, but can not be used to ensure the pH value. This is
because the color changes shown by these indicators do not quite
mean at a certain pH.
2. The strength of acids and bases can be distinguished using
indicators. Indicators cannot be used to determine the pH value,
exactly, but just to determine the acid/base or section of pH from a
solution.
