Inverter state
(IS)

battery voltage < 24v for an hour

Inverter ac mode
(IACM)

• the battery’s voltage ranges between 24v and 29v Charger State (CS)

• when in “AC Drop”, the state readings from the greenMonitor

should be like: IS=2, IACM=01; when in “AC Use”, IS=7,
IACM=02
• CS=0 when there is no sun light, =2 when there is sun light,
= 1 or 3 when the battery’s voltage is close to 29v under
strong sunshine and the charge controller enters a protective
mode
Where to get readings from?

• Charging current and battery voltage (both DC) should be read from the Outback System via
the GreenMonitor utility tool

• Inverter output current and voltage (both AC) should be read from the PDU that’s attached
to it, not the Outback System directly. The reason is the GreenMonitor’s reading of inverter
output current has an 1 amp resolution, and the PDU can provide readings on a per outlet
basis

• All the state stats regarding the Charge Controller and Inverter, including IS, IACM and CS
should be read from the GreenMonitor utility tool
