PRESS RELEASE

On April 29, 2011, the City of Canandaigua Police Department arrested Robert C.
Hurrin, age 57, of 72 Bristol Street, Canandaigua, for 41 counts of falsely reporting an
incident in the third degree.

Hurrin is accused of making hundreds of 911 hang-up calls from a cell phone that
resulted in dozens of police responses to the Bristol Street area and other locations in the
City. Police executed a search warrant at 72 Bristol Street on April 29 at which time the
cell phone where the calls originated from was located. Hurrin admitted to making false
reports to 911 in an effort to “waste the time of the police.”

Hurrin was processed and released on appearance ticket; he is due to appear in

Canandaigua City Court on May 9, 2011.
