Re: Auburn Man Arrested after Stabbing

On Thursday January 20, 2011 at approximately 12:58pm the Cayuga County E-911
Center received a phone call from Auburn Memorial Hospital ER stating they had a black
male victim who presented in their parking lot with multiple stab wounds. Auburn Police
were dispatched to the emergency room and quickly determined that the stabbing
allegedly occurred at 122 S. Fulton St.

Another group of Officers responded to 122. S. Fulton St. and through their investigation
located a suspect matching the description given by the victim walking in the area on
Walnut St.. The suspect was detained and ultimately arrested for the stabbing. It was
determined through the police investigation that the stabbing occurred after the victim
and the defendant engaged in a verbal and then physical altercation.

The victim, a 29 year old Auburn resident was subsequently released from AMH ER after
being treated for 4 stab wounds, three to his left buttocks and one to his left thigh. The
defendant, Emmanuel Lee Walls was subsequently charged with assault 2nd and criminal
possession of a weapon 4th. Walls was arraigned and remanded to the Cayuga County
Jail with no bail. This investigation is ongoing and Police would like to speak with any
witnesses who may have seen this altercation. Anyone with information is asked to
