 Jaws
• In the start of the opening scene its very dark and we can
hardly see the surroundings.
• The sound is very low during the start but it builds up as the
shark gets closer
• The theme music is basically the shark. This sound lets us
know that the shark is nearby.
• They used straight cuts, dissolve cuts and match on action.
 Jaws
• The music stops as the women dies and disappears in the sea.
This creates tension
• There are also lots of point of view shots
• In the scene there’s only one source of light and this is the
fire.
• Many high angle shots where used in the start of the scene
• Mid shots where also used
• There was a shot where we could see the whole group and
the surroundings.
