Global Youth Culture and Family Life

Our travels around the world and anthropology project took us on magical adventures in Sweden, China, Madagascar, and Italy. We learned about daily life, transportation, family structures, rebellion, and after school activities. Teenagers in these places spend time with friends, participate in local customs, and find ways to express themselves through sports, crafts, and storytelling within their communities.

Rebellion
 How Zebu could affect rebellion is, if a person is included in the ceremonies,
they might not to out and do bad things. But, if they are not included, they
might feel left out and go out to do bad things to feel accepted.
 *Then, when a young man is in cattle rustling, (with family or friends), it
would give them something to do. And, it would make it to where they would
meet new people and make new more friends. So, then they won't do or go
into bad habits.
 *When they build the wooden poles or the homes, it gives them a chance to
learn how to use tools and how to build. So, when they get older they can
build a home of their own or how to make the poles for when their relatives
pass away.
 *Also, when they do the epic poem showcasing, it gives the people a chance to
express themselves. Either on how they feel or how they see life. Which could
be very helpful for them and their families.
How does it affect the
family life
 When a family does Zebu, it could make them bond and be closure together. But, when
they don't it could pull them apart to where they might not talk to each other.
 *When the young men do cattle rustling, it could help them bond with their dads, uncles,
