Re: Requirement of UPS batteries (-8- nos. – 100 AH / 12V) for FGIET ATM

Our Malikmau branch has informed us vide letter no. BR/ATM/10-11/42 dated
14-03-2011 that Engineer of M/s Numeric Power Systems Ltd. has checked the
UPS of ATM at FGIET on 11-03-2011 and recommended for replacement of all
batteries. At present 08 batteries of 42AH/12V are installed with UPS. As per
branch record batteries have not been replaced since installation on 15-04-2009.
Batteries requiring replacement are out of warranty. As per recommendation of
UPS engineer, we recommend to replace all -8- batteries (100AH/12V) for
enhanced battery backup which will require additional charger card for UPS
charging, as per following conditions:

• Cost of battery replacement (-8- batteries of 100AH/12V) will be

Rs53800/- (Rs.7300/- per battery less buyback of Rs.575/- per battery i.e.
net Rs.6725/- per battery). The additional charger card will cost Rs5100/-.
This cost is inclusive of all taxes and transportation, installation charges
etc.
• The above purchase shall be made from Numeric Power Systems, an
authorized dealer of Exide batteries who are providing us maintenance
services of Numeric UPS installed in our Region as well as in other
Regions.
• Dealer will provide 2 year warranty for these batteries from date of
installation or 25 months from the date of supply.
• Dealer will supply the batteries which will be of the batch not more than 3
months old.
The amount of expense is within your discretionary powers. In view of the above,
the above purchase is in order. Kindly authorize for purchase of batteries.
